Thin mints are the fruit of the gods

March 15th, 2008 (07:09 pm)

Janked from [info]uebereinhorn and [info]vcu_meche

1. Did you date someone from your school?
Not a one! (unless going to prom counts)

2. Did you win anything in Seniors Who's Who?
We didn't do that kind of thing.

3. What kind of car did you drive?
HAHAHA! Err, a teal cheap-o bike.

4. It's Friday night...where are you?
At the mall with Carolyn.

5. Were you a party animal?
Only at the Mormon dances!

6. Were you considered a flirt?
Probably not.

7. Were you in band, orchestra, or choir?
Alas, no. Back in middle school, despite my strong love for playing piano and strong desire to be in band, the public school system did not allow students to take both art and band. Thus, no music for me =(

8. Were you a nerd?
Uh, not sure actually.

9. Did you get suspended/expelled?
Hah, no. Meadowbrook certainly tried, though!

10. Can you sing the fight song?
We had a fight song?

11. Who were your favorite teachers?
Mrs. Kowler, the art teacher. I wasn't actually the most outgoing of students, and rarely engaged teachers in conversation outside of what went on in class. Now here's a bit of weirdness: once, in the 9th grade, Mr. Shreiber ask me if I was afraid of him. What he failed to realise was that I was simply afraid to speak openly in class and have 20 or so people staring at me while I did so!

12. Where did you sit during lunch?
This shifted. 9th grade, I ate outside a bit. 10th grade, I think I actually experienced the cafeteria on occasion. Outside of that, I rotated between the German room (since several of my friends were in German club), a math room (since several of my friends did math hw during lunch), and the computer lab (since a: I was already addicted to the internet and b: I had a bad habit of lusting after computer people)

13. What was your school's full name?
The Governor's School for Government and International Studies

14. What was the mascot?
A globe? Err, not sure/don't recall.

15. Homecoming court?
There was a court for it? Glad I wasn't called for jury duty.

16. If you could go back and do it again, would you?
Sure, though I'd study more, try to be more outgoing, and worry less about money.

17. What do you remember most about graduation?
There was a lot of red.

18. Where did you go senior skip day?
We had senior skip day?

19. Have you gained some weight since then?
No, in fact I've lost about 20 lbs or so. Not having to eat meat and potatoes every other night works wonders.

20. Who was your Senior prom date?
James D. Totally shoulda gone with someone else.

21. Are you planning on going to your 10-year reunion?
I did already! It was...interesting!

22. Who was your home room teacher?
What is this 'home room' concept you speak of?

23. Who will repost?
Others who are not me.

24. Did you play any sports?
Nah. The commute woulda sucked for my parents to have to pick me up, and I simply wasn't that social.

25. Do you still talk to people from school?
A few!

26. What year did you graduate?
1997

Art OR music? That sucks. I guess they took it out because it was concentrating on Government.
Red like blood? Carrie?
Were your parents Mormons?
I agree with meat and potatoes food. All the baby boomers love to eat heavy things.

Well, the art or music thing was me being cranky toward Chesterfield County middle schools, with their persnicketyness. I might have been able to get away with both art and band at my high school (since I did take art and drama my senior year), but I guess I figured I'd be too far behind just starting an instrument then.

Red like all of us wearing blood colored graduation gowns! Though having a Carrie scene there would have made the whole thing much more interesting!

Actually, I wasn't mormon, I had several Mormon friends though, and the dances were one of the more interesting things that went on in my high school years. If it weren't for those Mormon dances, I never would have gotten any action back in high school!

And the best thing about no longer living with my parents is that my life has an utter lack of meatloaf, casserole, pork chops, and several other vaguely unpleasant foods!
