Squish!

March 8th, 2008 (11:06 pm)

So this is funny: We got Taco Bell today, and I was looking at the little messages on the sauce packets. One of them says 'Will you marry me?". I hope that's not a common message that get printed or anything, because one of these days some poor bastard is gonna get his girlfriend some Taco Bell for lunch, and she's gonna call him up and be all like "Yes! Now where's the ring??" or something. Either that, or there's some couple out there who bonded over chalupas in their early dating days, and this will be the perfect way to propose. Maybe adding that message to their border sauce packet repertoire was for the hopes of either to possibly happen, as both sorts of incidences would end up in some news source somewhere, and as we all know, any publicity is good publicity.

My eating habits have totally become generate lately. Ate out twice today, which is rather uncommon for me, as I am a cheap bastard. Dinner last night was smokey links and intellect biscuits dipped in melted chocolate. My grocery supplies are running low, as are my ambitions to go back to a grocery store for any length of time. Went to Ukrops twice today, the first time for Robbie's cake (and girl scout cookies!) and the 2nd for impulse sushi and mozzerella (err, and cheetos)(well, and bananas too). What I really need is a good and hearty trip to Tan-A, I'm looking to make some Vietnamese sweet and sour soup at some point soon!

Got to play some Settlers (lost) and Connect 4 (owned) today with Drew, John, Todd, and Robbie (and Alex). I tried to listen in on the d&d game (I wrote the dungeon), but then my brain fell out. Too much weaponry and biscuits. Weird, I had actually really enjoyed listening in on the d&d game with Will and Langdon about a year or so ago (which had been the 1st dungeon I'd written for Drew), but a.) that was the first game I'd ever listened in on period and b.) both played their characters with a particularly amusing chemistry that worked rather well with the particularly amusing dungeon I'd written. This more recent dungeon, while stronger thematically (pretty much an abandoned Ihop with vicious breakfast food) lacked the randomness that the first one had. Also, it's not as interesting when all of the living things are simply trying to kill you. I think more complicated situations make for better listening (and playing, for that matter).
