Coding fun times
It's such a pain to learn new shopping cart programs. I'm hacking away at osCommerce currently, it's really not that different from any other similar style of program I suppose, I just have to mentally switch from perl to php (which I am only getting into now). Still rather similar, but nonetheless a new gear to be in. The end product shall be a glorious e-commerce site for an ethnic greeting card company owned by Vanna and her friend Suzanna. I've got the layout down, and it's just a matter of wrangling it onto osCommerce and making everything shiny. Yup.
So we ended up going to Fallout last night. Large and shiny, and my fears were unfounded, as it turned out. I might even go back at some point!
Still haven't figured out a new domain name for the future foodie blog I wanna do. It's slightly on the back burner whilst I work on this other project that I am actually getting dollars for. And it's official - you remember all those quizzes I made several years back? I slapped google ads on them all in late december (as well as on the salami day website). And I earned more money for January from those ads then I did in royalties in the 4th quarter of last year for the art I did for work. I see where the money is! Slightly inspired by this, I've got a few vague ideas for other quizzes to make. They're fun projects to do, and it's neat to watch them spread around the internet.
On a final note: As the writer's strike is still a-strikin', I really hope that whoever is In Charge decides to release the Office season 4 dvd in it's incomplete form!
