To state the obvious here...
...snow! Fluffy snow! And it's starting to stick! This pleases me.
A few notes of interest for you bargain hunters out there:
1.) There are a few 75% off bins of Christmas items at the Kroger on Cary St last time I was in there. So I acquired a bag of Cadbury chocolates for $.72, as well as a box of macadamia nut chocolates for $1.75.
2.) Apparently CompUsa is going out of business, and are thus having excellent sales. I got a $30 power supply at 40% off, this making it $18 plus tax.
Apartment hunting is a pain at this time of year. There's just not that much of a selection. Add to that the near impossibility of finding an apartment with *everything* you want, plus the ridiculousness of the charges for pets at some places. Looks like the one we're probably going to end up going with is a bit west of the Museum District. It's a 3rd floor, really nice balcony, neighborhood is pleasant. On the down side it's a bit small, and we'd need to get a decent AC unit as there's no central air and crappy AC units seem to do no one any good. It's a really great price, though, and as Drew is in school and I'm looking to save to go back to school, this is a rather important factor.
